375 Million Poor at Risk

Oxfam plans to release a detailed report at the G8 summit this week in Italy detailing the devasting effects of global warming on the world’s most empoverished people.  The report says that by 2015 at least 375 million people will be affected by climate change related disasters.

The report also suggests it will costs $150billion per year to shift 3rd world economies to greener energy.   All eyes are on President Obama to set expectations on how cooperative his administration will be in combatting global warming.
